CALL FOR JURORS - STRATHCONA COUNTY

Strathcona County is seeking panel members for art selection panels (for both public art and our annual art acquisition). The application deadline is March 3, 2017.

Call for Applicants: Art Jury Roster


Strathcona County is requesting applications for its Art Jury Roster.


Eligible jurors include artists, art professionals, educators and design professionals (ie. architects, landscape architects, urban designers and planners). Strathcona County employees or their families are ineligible.

Panel members are needed for :

A) Public Art Selection Committees which are created for public art projects as needed. Jurors should live in the greater Edmonton area.

B) Annual Art Acquisition Selection Committees, which consider smaller works of art by local artists for display in County buildings; committees meet annually in May. Jurors should live in the greater Edmonton area and cannot be residents of Strathcona County

Application Process:

Please submit a letter of interest that details your professional experience in and/or understanding of visual art and design as well as an up to date curriculum vitae (CV) via email to Barbara.chapman@strathcona.ca by March 3, 2017. All applications will be kept on file for a period of two (2) years.


Please indicate if you are interested in public art selection committees, Annual Art Acquisition selection committees, or both.

Applicants will be contacted as needed and jurors will be appointed on an ad hoc basis. Submission to this call is not a guarantee of being chosen for a selection committee. Jurors are paid according to CARFAC rates.
