    The Loft Art Gallery and Gift Shop opens January 31, 2015 with new artwork by the artists of the Art Society of Strathcona County. The Gallery will be open Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 4:00 pm for your viewing and purchasing pleasure. Local artwork for your  home, business or gift giving.

    The Loft Art Gallery is located in the A.J. Ottewell Centre, 590 Broadmoor Boulevard.

    Common Ground Cafe is hosting a Christmas Craft Fair on November 22,  2014culminating a week of celebrating our first anniversary! 

    If you are interested in participating, please read attached Artist Contract carefully and submit the signed Contract and your registration fee to Eileen at Common Ground by the November 13 deadline.

    When: Saturday, November 22

    Time: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

    Where: Common Ground Cafe - space is limited to 5 booths
    Table size is 2 x 6; booth size is 7 x 7
    Cost:  Registration Fee is $25.00. If you need power - 2 spots will have access   first come-first served - Additional Cost of $5.00

    Who: Local artists/artisans.  All work must be original and done by you.   

    To Register:

    Return attached contract to Common Ground include cheque and 3 pictures of your work.  Participation is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email from Eileen Edwards.

    The Strathcona County Art Gallery @501 will be accepting submissions to be included in the "Strathcona Salon Series" that will run from May 20th to June 29th, 2014. This is an annual exhibit showcasing artists who are from Strathcona County or have a strong connection to the County. 

    Submission deadline is Saturday May 10th 10:00 am to 4:00 pm or Sunday, May 11 12:00 to 4:00 pm.

    Strathcona County will be hosting an art exhibit titled Wasted at the County Hall Atrium during March and April. Wasted will be an exhibit of art created from garbage, reusable material, photography or mixed media to illustrate the impact our consumer lifestyle has on the natural environment. Sculpture opportunities are available.

    Interested artists are invited to attend an information evening directly relating to the Stony Plain Streetscapes Request for Proposals. The evening will feature information about the call, community, and overall design vision for the area. Questions will be answered by Edmonton Arts Council and City of Edmonton personnel.

    Sherwood Park artist and sculptore Zazo Hadju has been commissioned by McMaster University in Hamilton, ON to create a statue of the campus's namesake Canadian Senator William McMaster.
